There are a few spaces left on the Mindfulness in Nature course starting next week. The Mersey Forest and Bob Wheat from Mindfulness Matters are offering the free 8-week Mindfulness course starting Thursday 12th July.
Mindfulness can reduce stress and anxiety, lower blood pressure, reduce visits to GP's and improve quality of sleep and this course will be using the local, natural environment to enhance the experience.
The skills you learn can be useful for future health and wellbeing and it is open to all adults in the area.
There are two programmes running initially at 10am to 12pm or 1pm to 3pm but places are very limited and you need to book in advance.
Courses have been running continuously from the centre since March and have proved very popular with all those who've taken part.
The start venue will be the Neston Community Youth Centre, A thriving community centre with so much going on and a great community spirit. Each Day we will be meeting up at the centre and depending on the weather we will be going out into the open spaces around Neston relaxing and learning new ways of Mindfulness. This includes meditations, techniques to reduce stress, mindful eating, walking and Tai Chi which has been very popular on previous courses.
