As you may be aware Neston Angels is not only a befriending service, we provide groups and activities for older people to attend. Giving chance to socialise, get support and learn something new.
In January 2024 we received some short term funding to expand on our current activities and provide them at no cost to the attendee. This funding has now finished however NCYC recognised the benefit to those attending and have seen an improvement in wellbeing so are keen to continue to provide these groups.
To continue to run these activities and groups we need to ensure we cover our overheads therefore we have gathered feedback from the attendees of these activities regarding reasonable cost to attend.
From September 2024 we will continue to run the groups / activities detailed below.
Senior Matinee
Last Tuesday of the month, 2pm-4.30pm at NCYC.
Cafe style cinema, table service, refreshments provided. Great British films selected and introduced by MC.

Supported Matinee
Cafe style cinema, table service, refreshments provided. lights are lowered and sound is reduced for screening.
This matinee is specifically for adults with dementia or additional needs. Carers must also attend.

Chat and Char
3rd Tuesday of the month, 12.30pm - 2pm at NCYC.
Games, quizzes and friendly chat with a cuppa and cake.

Full Circle Intergenerational Social Group
Every Wednesday 11am-12.30pm at Hallwood Court
For parents and children aged 0-36 months and older people, bringing 3 generations together.
Friendly and welcoming environment, create new friendships, share knowledge and life experiences, connect with your community, reduce isolation, refreshments provided.
FREE however donations welcome to cover costs of refreshments.
Bereavement Friendship Group
Every other Monday 10am-12pm at NCYC
Peer support group for anyone dealing with the loss of a partner.

Silvermail Penpal
Help improve children's reading and writing by being a penpal to a local primary school child. Exchanging letters throughout the year with a bi-annual get together.
